I will be blogging each day this week about duct cleaning questions and concerns that we hear from our customers
Q. Does it work?
A. Like anything else, it depends on how the work is accomplished. When done properly, the negative air machine is placed at the main duct or furnace so that the dirt is drawn though the system and each duct is cleaned with a brush and/or air whip from the register. This method is very effective, but it does take a bit more time. About half a day on average. There are plenty of offers out there to clean your ducts for amazingly low prices. In our experience you are better off just vacuuming out the ducts with your home vacuum. These companies use duct cleaning as a way to get into your house and start high pressure sales. Like most other things, you get what you pay for.
